Swarovski Crystal Pearls have been specially created to look like real pearls. The pearls have a coating that is very similar to natural pearl lustre and color consistency. They are not only similar in appearance to natural pearls, but exhibit many of the same characteristics. They are resistant to perspiration, UV rays, perfumes, scratches and washing and warms to the skin like real pearls do. They also have a similar weight as natural pearls due to a leaded crystal core.
